All Staff, Students, Alumni of TUM and Relatives can run together in a team of at least 5 members. If bigger teams register (more than 9 runners), we will split them up automatically according to the registration time. (Team name 1, Team name 2, etc.). The time of the five fastest runners gets summed up and in that way the winner teams are decided.
For bigger teams: Think before the registration, with which runners the team has the best chances for one of the top places and register the team accordingly. To the Award Ceremony are of course all teams members invited.
For your participation it's only neccessary to check the corresponding box (Participation on the Team-Challenge) and to write the team name exactly the same.
The only thing you need to record your run is your phone or another appropiate fitness tracker. You can also use the App of your choice. (e.g. Runtastic, Runkeeper, Endomondo, Strava, etc.).
If you have completed your desired route in the regular 24 hours (0-24 o'clock), take a screenshot of your activity, in which the distance and the time needed are visible. Now you only have to upload the length of your route, the time, the screenshots at the link that you received in the Registration E-Mail (available from the 21.06). After that, all the times are listed and evaluated by us. The runners with the fastest times will be the TUM Winners. (Cheating is of course forbidden. It is a question of honor). The results will then be uploaded to the website on the 26.06.2022.
By the way! In addition to the proof of your run (Distance and time), we would be really happy if you would also upload a couple of pictures of yourself or the team at your goal or during the run.
Moreover, this year there will be an award for the most creative routes. So if you wanto to run in a certain pattern or you have a great idea, there are no limits to your creativity!
All runners from the TUM exclusively can participate:
- Students,
- Staff from science and administration, and
- and of course all alumni of the TUM.
Not only ambitious people who want to break the time records of previous years are invited but also those who simply want to enjoy physical activity.
Participation is not possible without a concrete connection to the TUM network - a TUM identification is required for registration.
Besides all existing challenges, this year for the first time we will have a new Challenge called TUMlinge-CHALLENGE!
For all male and female professors, as well as the chair teams and also the administrative teams, there will again be the CHALLENGE to run the 11 km in the best time and to benchmark themselves against the winners from 2018 in order to win the challenge cup in one of the four categories.
Participants of the Chair Challenge and both Professor Challenges will receive the race package as well as the TUM running shirt via internal post.
This year's course is exactly 5.5 km across the central campus in Garching as well as to the north of the campus, the 11 km course goes beyond Dieterheim and back along the Isar river, so lots of shade!
The start and finish is between the LRZ and the Math/Info building.
At Lichtenbergstraße the street will be crossed. For this reason Lichtenbergstraße will be closed for cars and trucks between 4.45 and 6.45 pm from Boltzmannstraße to the entrance of the UnternehmerTUM building.
During this time access to the campus by car will be possible only through Lichtenbergerstraße. Exceptions apply to public transport and in emergencies, the vehicles of the fire brigade, police or paramedics.
This run is organised free of charge and voluntarily by the TUM: Junge Akademie as well as from students and co-workers from different areas at TUM.
Please direct your inquires to campuslauf(at)tum.de or via our Facebook-Event.
