The Akaflieg offers the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge from the lectures in practice. Similarly, members learn important skills for their studies via design calculations and working on the glider. The glider pilot's license can be obtained at a low cost.

We have done it all, from 3g light aircraft to world record models with more than 500km/h. Gain experience, exchange ideas with other students, and be part of exciting projects. Lunes is a new open source project in collaboration with a NGO in Augsburg. The planned app's target group is primarily professionals, who can use it to learn job-specific vocabulary and technical terms. The project is being implemented by volunteers from various disciplines. It will be developed in JavaScript and Python. At the TdI, we will inform you about opportunities to get involved in the project.
