🔬 About the TUM Science Hackathon
The TUM Science Hackathon is a unique 3-day event where interdisciplinary student teams solve real-world challenges from industry and research. Hosted in Munich, the Sciencehack blends rapid innovation, academic excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit. Participants prototype, collaborate, and pitch their ideas to experts – all under this year’s theme: Going New Ways.
Whether you're into AI, cybersecurity, data science, or building the next big tech breakthrough – this is your chance to make an impact, meet brilliant minds, and explore what's possible.

No coding or specific technical skills are required—just bring enthusiasm, collaboration, and a passion for problem-solving. We value diverse backgrounds (e.g., design, research, business, storytelling) for interdisciplinary solutions. Mentorship and workshops will support you throughout the event.

- No team yet? No worries — apply solo and we’ll help you form or join a team during the Orientation Event on June 12.
Teams of 3–6 participants can be formed at the orientation or registered in advance. During the Matching Phase (June 13–19), each team will be assigned to one of six real-world challenges provided by TUM partners — based on your skills, interests, and preferences.
You don’t need to bring your own idea — challenge hints will be released ~2 weeks before the event, with full details revealed at the orientation.

The Sciencehack features six real-world societal or scientific challenges provided by TUM partner companies and chairs. Hints and teasers about the challenges will be announced two weeks before the June 12 orientation event, with detailed information revealed during the orientation itself, ensuring a fair and exciting start.
Yes, snacks, and beverages are provided, with dietary restrictions accommodated—just inform us during registration.
Free! All accepted participants enjoy meals, drinks, a great venue, and mentorship at no cost.
