We are happy to welcome 40 new scholarship holders to #class23. In this year's call "Less is More? Empowering individuals to focus on the essentials", 3,800 TUM students were nominated. We received 108 applications from highly talented students, 40 of whom we can now welcome to the new #class23 and thereby to TUM: Junge Akademie. We are looking forward to an outstandingly diverse class, with regard to the scholarship holders' countries of origin (11 different in total) as well as the fields of study.

As every year, the scholarship for the new members started with a common kick-off event. In Wartaweil am Ammersee, the scholarship holders, tutors, supervisors, BoM/AB representatives and TUMJA office team were able to get to know each other on the weekend of 18 to 20 November 2022. In addition to a warm welcome and networking activities, the new scholarship holders had the opportunity to reflect on their skills, personality and role in a team. In the "Market of project ideas", the first project topics were developed together with the tutors and supervisors and the first tips and tricks for implementation were given in the context of "Project Management I". At the end of the weekend, first suitable topics and teams were found for #class23.
